Set against a smouldering ground of charred black and speckled rust, this composition crackles with an almost electrical energy. Bands of fiery red push through the darkened underlayer like exposed embers, while horizontal blocks of ochre and slate grey establish a loose architectural grid across the surface. A vivid streak of turquoise cuts vertically through the centre — the coolest note in an otherwise hot and smoky palette — flowing downward like current through a wire.

The composition is threaded throughout with a network of fine linear marks in gold, white, and pale grey, strung between small circular nodes that suggest electrical wiring, circuitry, or a stitched schematic overlaid on the painted surface. This linear scaffolding creates a rhythmic, almost notational quality, as though a diagram has been laid over the raw painted field beneath it.
