Chromatic City is an expressive abstract exploration of the urban environment, where architecture, colour and memory converge. Built from numerous translucent layers of acrylic, the composition reveals fragmented forms and architectural rhythms that appear to emerge and dissolve within the painted surface.

Warm ochres, terracotta, rose and violet tones create a rich, atmospheric foundation, punctuated by vivid turquoise forms that suggest windows, illuminated openings or fragments of a city seen through shifting light. Scraped textures, gestural marks and overlaid geometric elements give the work a sense of age, movement and continual transformation.

The painting sits between the recognisable and the imagined, inviting the viewer to discover their own interpretation of the structures within it. Its layered composition reflects an architectural sensibility, while the spontaneous mark-making introduces an element of energy and unpredictability.
