Chromatic Structure is an original abstract work exploring the interplay between colour, geometry and surface. Vivid layers of cobalt blue, turquoise, orange and warm metallic gold form a dynamic composition of overlapping planes and expressive vertical marks. Fine linear elements introduce a sense of order and structure across the richly textured ground, contrasting with the spontaneity of the underlying gestural paintwork.
The work reflects Jon Tyrrell’s architectural approach to abstraction, where rhythm, proportion and constructed form are transformed into an energetic visual language. The heavily worked surface gives the painting a tactile, almost weathered quality, while the intense colour palette creates a strong contemporary presence.
The canvas measures 21.0cm x 15.0cm and is mounted on white mountboard in a simple black frame. Overall size 28.0cm x 23.0cm
